Puno

I had been wondering where exactly the boat that took me to the floating islands went, relative to Puno, and I found my answer here, in my photograph, taken from a high hill above Puno. You can see a light brown, tan, band running across the top of this bay. On the right side there is a channel that lets boats through. Next, turn left, and follow the horizontal channel into the reed fields and there, at the left edge of the picture, you see small objects lining the part of the channel. Those are the floating islands. And now I know. The big while building on the peninsula was described as a luxury hotel. |
